DeepCoder is an artificial intelligence system which helps users in writing codes who don’t know coding.
DeepCode is an AI system developed by researchers at Microsoft and Cambridge university. Deepcoder search codes on the huge database which is available online and then writes the working programs in a fraction of seconds.
What Is AI?
AI are the system which is capable of deep learning, solving problems, curing cancer and fighting cyber crime and the present best example of AI is Watson developed by IBM which helps in deep learning.
But now, here is the DeepCoder, an Artificial Intelligence System which helps in writing codes from the database available on the Internet.
Microsoft and Cambridge university had published an article on DeepCoder. Al, DeepCoder uses a technique called Synthesis.
It can help researchers and developer to solve problems they face while writing codes. DeepCoder will help developers in harvesting the code from the online database and would use the code which best suits and done, writing code is now a matter of seconds.
Matej Balog at the University of Cambridge and Alexander L. Gaunt, Marc Brockschmidt, Sebastian Nowozin, Daniel Tarlow at Microsoft Research built the DeepCoder and co-authored a paper on its use.
Statement – “The potential for automation that this kind of technology offers could really signify an enormous [reduction] in the amount of effort it takes to develop code,” says Solar-Lezama.
DeepCoder has potential to increase its efficiency over time, as it solves more and more problems. But now it can only write programs of 5 lines or codes. It does not have potential to write codes for automated development of systems or software.
According to Solar-Lezama of MIT, it is not going to take jobs of developers but will help in overcoming errors while writing codes and developing the more efficient codes.
