ZTE, Chinese telecom giant on Sunday unveiled that it is going to launch its world’s first smartphone Gigabit with the lightening-fast 5G mobile internet service.
5G technology is except to come up and running by 2020, but ZTE made every theory wrong by unveiling its 5G smartphone Gigabit and will be soon in the global market.
ZTE unveiled its Gigabit in Barcelona on Monday at Mobile World Congress.
What Is 5G Technology?
The next telecommunications standards beyond the current 4G/IMT-Advanced standards(International Mobile Telecommunications-Advanced ).
5G planning aims at a higher capacity than current first generation 4G, 5G aims to bring enhanced communications and device to device connectivity.
Qualcomm in October 206, developed a chip know as Snapdragon X50 5G modem which supports an operation of 28 GHz, also known as millimetre wave (mmW) spectrum. With 800MHz bandwidth support, specially designed to increase download speed up to five gigabits per second.
5G research and development also aim at lower latency than 4G equipment and lower battery consumption, for better implementation of the Internet of things.
According to the Chinese telecom, Gigabit is the first phone supporting 5G and which is capable of touching speed up to 1Gbps and 10 times faster than 1st generation of 4G LTE mobile internet services.
“With the new device, the way people stay connected will be changed forever. Focusing on 5G technologies will be one of the key priorities of ZTE’s global development,” a ZTE spokesman said.
The ZTE Gigabit smartphone also featured to make the 4K video, VR video, as well as 360 videos and with Instant cloud storage capacity and, has a quick cache for music, films and apps, thus saving much of time. Gigabit works on Intel architecture IT baseband unit(BBU).
The verge reported, Several other companies are testing their 5G technology like Verizon has informed the plan for testing 5G in various cities of US.
Meanwhile, AT&T is planning to launch it’s 5G “evolution network” later this year, and Intel, Qualcomm, and Samsung all announced new chipsets that can support gigabit LTE speeds.

ZTE unveiled Gigabit with its self-developed Pre5G Giga+ Mobile Broadband(MBB) solutions and coupled with new MYHome voice assistant and few other technologies uses for home and smartphones
ZTE, Founded in 1985 offers telecom equipment and services and has customers over 160 countries.
ZTE is only Chinese vendor, where its 10 percent market share makes it’s the fourth-largest telecom vendor in the US.
