Facebook is now going to begin testing of animated GIFs to the News Feed, Earlier Facebook said that it is testing both Dislike and GIF’s animated button for News Feed and for comments.
Now Mark Zuckerberg confirmed by saying that a GIF button for comments was in the words, now that testing could begin next week.
Sources tell TechCrunch this new button will allow users to browse and search through GIFs from the source like Giphy and Tenor. And it is excepted to work much like how the GIF button operates in Facebook’s Messenger Application.
“Everyone loves a good GIF and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments. So we’re about to start testing the ability to add GIFs to comments and we’ll share more when we can, but for now we repeat that this is just a test.
This new animated GIFs feature will be only available to the selected group of users at first and after successful testing, it will be delivered to other users too.
New GIFs button would create distraction and confusion but we all know GIFs are fun to use and seen. GIFs allow users in pretending their emotions among users like short clips.
Let’s see when the animated GIFs are released for public use.
